Anaconda or Imperial Cutter?

I am currently debaiting(?) between the Anaconda and the Imperial Cutter. I plan to use my ship for combat. Both ships will be engineered. The cargo racks are there so I don't need to use a seperate ship for engineering my ships. I am not using shields banks because:

a) The cutter doesn't have the power capacity

b) SCBs are worthless on the Anaconda

Do you think that I should have 4 laser turrets (all medium) or 2/2 gimballed/turreted (the turrets on the engine pods and the gimballed on the front (I think) of the ship?)

I think the thermal resistance mod for the shield generator is a good idea but if you wanted to do one of the boosters other than heavy duty I would do resistance augmented for several reasons. 1 the thermal booster can only go up to grade 3 and at its best only increases the thermal resistance by as much as the grade 5 resistance booster does. 2 the thermal makes kinetic and explosive resistance go down where resistance augmented makes them both go up which will make up for the thermal shield generator. Here are links to all 3 thermal shields thermal shield booster resistance augmented booster. I would say it runs slightly warm and once you overcharge the power plant it will probably run even a little warmer. You could make dirty drives work without to much trouble but personally I would go for clean drives. I would personally go for all gimballed because if you are fighting npc's they aren't going to be a huge problem for you to turn on and the gimballed weapons will do more damage along with your fighter helping out it shouldn't be a problem. If you do pvp I would still do gimballed because in that case you need all the firepower you can get and you are probably going to be having a lot of head on fly by's with the other cmdr more than trying to out turn them.

Ok. Thanks for the information. Do you think I should have 4 burst/pulse (phasing sequence) lasers + multicannons or 2 burst/pulse lasers (phasing sequence) + 2 beam lasers (Regeneration Sequence) + multicannons?

If beam lasers, what mod would the best to use?

When engineering the multi-cannons, should I use high capacity magazine for the huge multicannon (the one i'm putting corrosive shell on) and overcharged weapon on the large multicannons (the one i'm putting incendiary rounds on), high capacity magazine on all of them or overcharged weapon on all of them?

Also, is it possible to combine modifications (eg. Overcharged weapon + High capacity magazine)?

Would it be best to use rapid fire or overcharged for the pulse/burst lasers?

Weapon mods vary depending on your play style. For instance I don't often fly in wings so for this ship I would go for 2 overcharged incendiary round multi-cannons and 4 rapid fire phasing sequence pulse lasers. If you do fly in wings though the heal beam would probably be nice and I would use the sturdy mount beam mod as this is the only one that doesn't decrease damage. For what you said for multi-cannons I would agree overcharged on the large multis and increased capacity on the corrosive shell. No it is not possible to combine mods. I would personally put the corrosive shell on one of the smaller ones because it will weaken the hull just as much as the huge and a huge overcharged incindiary multi is just crazy.

For the build, what capacitor and armour engineer upgrade would you suggest?

I would go for a charge enhanced capacitor and heavy duty or light weight armor depending on how worried you are about mass probably light weight.
