Betelgeuse is a large red supergiant star and the ninth-brightest star in the night sky as seen from Earth. It's located in the constellation Orion and the second-brightest star there. It has a solar radius of about 640.373000.
Betelgeuse is in its late stage stellar evolution and expected to go supernova in the next million years.
