Hi, I’ve noticed that the page for system authority (police) isn’t working for me, could anyone else try to find it?
For reference I tried to access it through the ATR page

Why there is no information about the Armor rating value on the wiki, and on the game, unless you buy the ship. We don't wanna t buy every single ship just to look at the armor rating, and all other informations are there, why just this is not?
(This has nearly been solved; all that is left are some non-free revisions that might contain stock photos that have been "overwritten" by good images. The stock photo history entries should be removed by an admin to prevent trouble)

Hi guys!
A recent post was made on the Frontier Forums that provides a comprehensive overview of Unidentified Signal Sources:
https://forums.frontier.co.uk/showthread.php/377716-Unidentified-Signal-Sources-A-Complete-Guide
It's more detailed, more up to date, and better categorised than the one on this Wiki:
I've been thinking about re-working that page for a while since some of the info is obsolete (some USS's described there don't even exist any more). I'd would list the different types of signal sources, how to find them, and what can be found inside them. It would be a useful extension of the Engineers/Materials work I did recently.
What are your thoughts on that wiki page's content at the moment? Would you have any objection if I brought it closer to the type of information in the forum post above?
It would be a major update to that one page, so I'd like to hear your opinions before I do anything.
Hi folks, last night was certainly interesting! Multiple user accounts vandalized the wiki. It seems the first target was JazHaz's profile page, then the Policies pages, and then other random pages.
I'm not an experienced user and so it's not obvious to me how to report these things. The only contact method I could figure out was to post on the walls of users listed as admins. That did nothing but invite the vandals to post there as well. Undoing their wiki edits was futile. Since the policies pages got nuked, most of the links to finding the admins disappeared. I could find no "report user" or "report abuse" or "report edit" options anywhere on the wiki. Ultimately I posted for help on something called VSTF and it seems someone there eventually blocked the vandals and helped undo the damage.
I don't know how these things work but it seems that it shouldn't be so easy for someone to create random accounts and begin mass deleting wiki content, admin policies, and even other users' profile content. Are there no security options for this that could be enable?
Also I think it needs to be easier to find out where/how to contact someone for help in cases like these, given that the vandals seem to target the policies/help info first. There should be a confidential reporting option that the vandals can't see and delete.
Anyhow, maybe all this is normal, I dunno. Just hoping there are some better options to prevent it.
Thanks and regards, Kyle.
When it comes to templates, we have fairly few we use everyday. We have the infoboxes for Characters, Ships, Systems etc. but not much more. We have navboxes for Corporations, Ships, Ships by type, Characters etc. We have one or two informational amboxes such as Policy, UpdateMe, Confuse, etc.
The problem is that we don't have enough templates. Nor do we have a good structure on templates in terms of categories and sub-categories for finding templates easier.
So what templates do we want? Do we need more specific Stubs? What templates need to be modified to work better? How would we want structure the templates in terms of categories?
Feel free to take inspiration from other wikis!
Can we please get a consistent written policy on the use of the minor edit functionality? I have been seeing a very substantial increase in the number of edits made that have had the minor edit checkbox checked, and although for some reason most of these edits are showing on the wiki activity log, I know it is not always the case that they do. Previously the minor edit function was one of the go to ways to try to hide page vandalism. I feel we need a set policy of when it is appropriate to use this function so that instead of having to have a lengthy discussion with each and every user who is not using the function for its proper purpose, we can just point them to the policy and say warning: please abide by this policy.
Just because Frontier Developments has a similar policy on their forum, doesn't mean we, as an unofficial forum, have to have one. Surely there should be a place where naming and shaming can be made, so that noob players can populate their block lists?
They shouldn't have any place on the wiki simply because they aren't in the game world. This adds for more maintenance by the staff to keep everything upto date. Not to mention due to the lack of control over content on links to the Organizations page, could lead to users getting viruses.

I quoted the above as an example to show that you can not confirm that any sole group was the sole reason for anything. As such, it would be speculation to have the above information. Without hard evidence to show every event that happened, it's just speculation.
