Rigel is an uninhabited system in the Inner Orion Spur. It is notable for its main star, a hot blue-white supergiant that forms part of the constellation Orion. The system is about 862 light-years from Sol, and Rigel itself can be viewed from Earth as a small, blueish circle when the sky is clear. It is one of the largest known stars in the Milky Way galaxy, with a solar radius of 55.618300. Rigel B is a Class B Star with a solar radius of 3.880900.[1]
