It's orbited by a large family of planets, three of which are in the habitable zone (Earth, Mars and Venus). Sol makes up 99.86% of the mass of its system and formed approximately 4.6 Billion Years ago. It is brighter than 85% of all stars in the Milky Way Galaxy.
